Timber Lodge of Medina is an award winning fine dining steak and seafood restaurant with roots dating back to 1933. We are a popular high volume, high energy dining destination with a stellar reputation and fantastic ratings.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, passionate, creative people to join our team. We are open 6 days a week. Tuesday through Saturday we open at 4:00. On Sunday’s we open at 11:00 for our popular Sunday brunch. Weekends are a must and candidates can be considered to other kitchen positions if interested. This position would start at 8 am until 3 or 4 pm each day.
KITCHEN FOOD PREP
We are looking for a food prep associate to join our team and carry us into the future. You will learn our recipes and prepare high-quality dishes.
You should be familiar with food safety and sanitation regulations. Experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Prepare components of each dish on our menu following our proven recipes
• Memorize our portion sizes and follow meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
• Ensure that, all food prep and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule provided by the restaurant
Requirements
• Proven experience in food prep for a fine dining restaurant.
• Eager and to learn our recipes and service style
• High school diploma/GED preferred, No criminal record preferred.
• Must have own transportation
• Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
• High level of professionalism
• Ability to handle a high-pressure kitchen environment
• Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
